Modesty is integral to the central concept of honour in the
islamic society. The issue of Muslim women's rights is much misunderstood in the
West.
The Arabian house consists of parts
forbidden to males - the women's domain - called Al-Harram. Especially in the Yemeni
houses several floors are set aside for women and children.
Our small excursion is a glimpse on the daily
life of Yemeni women covering the traditional wardrobe, lifestyle, Arabian cuisine,
oriental perfumes, etc...
